Jessica's musical calling came at the age of 4 when her Great Aunt Millie decided to record her singing “Jesus Loves Me” on her reel to reel recorder. Aunt Millie was a talented vocalist, who directed the St. Mark's Children's choir and saw potential in her young niece. Aunt Millie was an early role model who greatly influenced Jessica's passion for music.
At 8 years old, Jessica's father, William Tracy, taught Jessica how to read music and play the recorder in the Tracy's family bluegrass band alongside her two older brothers. His strict weekly rehearsal schedule taught Jessica dedication and humility. As Jessica grew, her love and appreciation for music did as well. Soon she was showing off her vocal talent at nursing homes, family gatherings and every Sunday morning during church services. Jessica also found a knack for singing solos and duets with the junior choir where she developed a keen ear for singing harmonies.
Her vocal training continued on through high school where she continued to perform with choral groups in many different genres including classical, pop and jazz.
Jessica went on to college and pursued a career as a licensed chemical dependency counselor, though never losing her connection to music or the desire to perform. In 2007 Jessica joined “The Unit”.
