Jay,
the newest member of “The Unit”, earned his B.A.
in music education at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst
in 1998 and has been around the Providence and Boston music
scene ever since. Among other bands, Jay has sung and played
guitar and keyboards with original bands “Five Dollar
Milkshake” and “Mona” as well as “Planet
Envy” a 5-piece rock cover band.
Jay is also in demand as a freelance musician, pit musician
and musical director for theater groups, jazz ensembles and
studio work. Jay has also composed theme and incidental music
for the Cox Cable show “Fishing the Ocean State”
and the NESN series “Kettlebottom Outdoor Pursuits”
as well as several commercials.
Jay is a full time music educator in Massachusetts and makes
his home in Cranston RI with his wife and son.
